Barbarito Torres is a legendary Laud player. His career began in 1970 and he gained international recognition when he joined and began touring with The Afro Cuban All Stars and the Buena Vista Social Club. Torres released solo and collaborative albums throughout his career making him a proven legend in the legacy of Cuban music.
He’s known for his solos on the laúd and instrument predominantly associated with with Cuban guajiro music for which Torres is known. He’s well versed in the different styles of Cuban music including Jazz. Throughout his career he has contributed greatly to the culture of Cuban music performing alongside Cuba’s most notable musicians.
